Welcome to my blog!

My name is Olivia, and I am a proud brunette. ūüôā I love music – I have been singing since I was 18 months old, and I will keep singing for as long as I live, because it brings me joy. I also love writing. Words fascinate me – everything about them, from the way that they paint vivid pictures in one’s mind when certain ones are put together a certain way, to the way they can reach down into the very depths of one’s heart and make one feel the most fiery rage, the deepest sorrow, and the most unearthly bliss. I am also a runner, a scholar, a photographer, a guitar player, a chocoholic, a Francophile, an avid reader, an aspiring writer, a singer, and a believer. I love God and I want this blog to reflect my love for Him.

This blog was named Somewhere Over the Rainbow because that’s where I usually am – my mind, anyway. “Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops…” That’s where you’ll find me. This blog is a reflection of my heart and everything that makes me ME. On this blog, you’ll find¬†posts filled with random thoughts about life and the universe and God, and basically all of my favorite things. You’ll find poems, pictures, quotes, and all kinds of inspiring stuff, because inspiration is everywhere. After all, life is a rough journey, but it’s also an incredibly exciting, immensely¬†interesting one. I hope you’ll stay for a while and maybe even stick with me as I embark on my journey through life, keeping you posted all the way.

Thank you for visiting SOTR. Please feel free to leave a comment; I love hearing from you! Anyone is welcome to comment here on SOTR, but please remember the rules!
